Arlington, VA (July 31, 2026) — Rochdale Capital today announced it has been officially certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s CDFI Fund. This designation affirms the organization’s commitment to providing financing and technical assistance to economically disadvantaged individuals and communities.

CDFI Certification is awarded to mission‑driven financial institutions that meet rigorous standards for serving low‑income and underserved populations. With this designation, Rochdale Capital gains access to specialized federal programs, investment opportunities, and partnerships that will enhance its ability to deliver affordable loans, financial education, and community development initiatives.

“This certification is transformative and renews our commitment to the communities we serve,” said John Holdsclaw IV, President & CEO of Rochdale Capital.  “It reinforces our mission to remove barriers to capital and expand pathways to economic opportunity for individuals and organizations who have long been excluded from financial services.”

As a certified CDFI, Rochdale Capital will continue advancing cooperative and community ownership, expanding access to capital through flexible, affordable financing that supports asset building.
